The moment the calendar switches from October 31st to November 1st, the countdown to Christmas begins– at least on the Hallmark Channel. But, it’s not a bad idea to get into the holiday spirit and get ahead on gifts that you know your family and friends will love and enjoy all year long.

As the big box stores put out the newest holiday decorations, we’ll pull out our own holiday ornaments, maybe taking time to hang them with our loved ones. But, in order to decorate properly, we’ll need the right music to get us in the true Christmas spirit. I’ve got just what we need. Check out my holiday album, Home for the Holidays, here or wherever you get your music

Or, perhaps you’re hosting the Holiday party of the season, and you need some music to entertain the kids as well– my album, The Color of Love Is You, is just the thing.

Now, when it comes to holiday gift-giving, I think books are a near-perfect present because they can be both thoughtful and thought-provoking. Whether you have children, or you’re trying to find the perfect gift for your friends and family members who do, I can’t recommend my book, Colors of Nature, enough. In the book, you’ll see colorful animals everywhere you look–from the desert to the plains, through the deep forest to the ocean, all in the charming clay sculpture world of award-winning illustrator Kathy Schoeppner. Kids love it!

As special as the holiday season can be– giving gifts, having parties, spending time with loved ones– it can also bring up difficult feelings. Maybe you’re missing someone special, or you’re trying to celebrate the season without someone for the first time. If this feels relevant, I’ve got a book you won’t want to miss– whether you want to gift it or read it, my book, Grief Relief, shares experiences, confessions, and insights on our journeys from grief to relief. You can find it on Amazon here.

So, while you get a head start on the holiday festivities make sure to blast some merry music, and surround yourself with those you love so you can feel all the joy of the season! After all– that’s what the holidays are really about.
